WebNov 29, 2013 · The Dremel is too light IMO and is subject to quite a bit of bearing runout. These translate into less than acceptable results. A laminate style router in a more substantial circle jig works much better. I use a Bosch Colt in a Bishop Cochran jig, but there are other quality alternatives. I made a nut holder that was the same thickness as the fret board so that I could easily set the depth. I zeroed on the front of the nut and proceeded to cut each slot.
