WebAfter programming, the squelch noise and the green squelch light is always on. A channel with a programed audio code or DCS is quiet, but the green light is still on. I have been programming 888 since 2013 and I have never had this problem before. I have tried two 888 programs and had the same result. I’m getting set up to try it on Chirp. WebDigital Coded Squelch or DCS is the third type, and it works by adding a sub-audible digital bitstream to the transmitted audio. The bitstream is used to transmit a code along with the audio. The radio ignores signals that do not include a bitstream with the specified code.
