I think the ECM is looking for a ground at pin (15) of the OEM connector to have the fan off. The override switch allows this path to ground. If you spin the fan and the fan spins fairly easy then the clutch is bad. If you spin the fan it it stops almost as soon as you spin it then the clutch is ok...Kind of a shade tree tech advice but it hasn't ... incendiary personality
