WebMar 10, 2024 · Issue: After drawing a line or an object in AutoCAD and assigning it a non-continuous linetype (such as dashed, dotted, zigzag, etc.), the line or object still appears as a solid or continuous line in either model space or in the paper space viewport. Causes: The linetype scale is too large or too small for the size of the affected object. WebMar 2, 2024 · Remove the usage of the damaged linetype by changing all layers and objects to a different linetype. Enter PURGE and select All. Enter SAVEAS to DXF format. Close and reopen the DXF file. Load the linetype again using the LINETYPE command or the Design Center ( DC or CTRL-2). Apply the linetype to the desired layers and objects.

While in model space, my dashed lines are dashed lines. When I set up a viewport in a layout, these dashed lines are solid. They also plot solid.
